It is not all about Front Load Washer Vibration...in this section we share some Suggestions/Helpful Hints
Detergent: High Efficiency (HE) Washing machines REQUIRE HE Detergent. It is very important to purchase and use detergent with the HE symbol on the bottle. If you do not use this detergent you may end up with a laundry room full of subs and water! Also it will be difficult for the Washing Machine to properly rinse the soap out of the clothes. It is the same reason why you don't use dish soap (like Dawn) in your dishwasher...or at least the same concept.

Mildew: You will hear that mildew forms in front load washing machines. We have found that simply leaving the door open on the washer when not in use helps to prevents this. We also recommend that you purchase the Smelly Washer Cleaner available on Front Load Toad under the Order Products page - also check out our Mildew page for more information.
Vibration: The front load washing machines run at an incredible RPM in spin cycle. Unless you are on a concrete floor, you will know when this cycle is on. It sounds and feels like a helicopter landing on your house! The amount of vibration depends on how balanced the load of clothes is (see Balanced loads below). However, solving these problems is easy. :) See our products page for the solution to this problem.
Cleaning: The units rarely need cleaned, but there is a filter located on the front of most front load washing machine models. You open a trap door usually located on the lower half of the unit. Place a bucket under the trap door and twist the handle until water comes out into the bucket. Remove the filter, rinse and return... BE SURE TO TIGHTEN the filter until it can't be tightened - otherwise, the washing machine will continuously loosen this filter until you have a laundry room full of water (which happen to us!). Also, if you have the GVI pads installed, it adds a couple inches of clearance which allows you to clean under the units with a broom!
Balanced loads: Your Front Load Washing machine will get unbalanced and really vibrate (although I found the GVI pads keep it from walking!) if you don't follow these simple rules: Wash items of the same fabric together. Combine large and small items in a load. Load large items first. Large items should not be more than half the total wash load. Do not wash single items. This may cause an out-of-balance load. Add one or two more similar items.
